painting dissection

A series I am planning to continue. The shadow box is my favourite part. I'm still working on canvas but I'm really enjoying working with 3-D elements. We'll see what my work evolves into next.

Nice! I'm lovin' the lush and glossy feel to these. Are they excess from your acrylics? That 'unknown' nature adds a nice touch to this assortment, and makes me stare at what these really are. Doing double takes...

Thanks, Mike! I like the high gloss too. Actually, they are intentional blobs of paint and medium rather than excess. :) They sort of look like crystal.

I really like this series and I want to see more! I remember looking at it at the class, but once again, it is really interesting to see shapes and shadow it creates! =D

Thanks, Michelle. I actually never really noticed the shadows until you mentioned it. And thanks for adding me to your links!
