Drawing from your head is such a challenge but I think I'm starting to find approaches and techniques that work for me. I love portraiture because I find it can be very painterly. The sketches on the first page were just experiments from my head and the last two I had reference photos. I have a few ideas for a portrait series but they'll most likely be painted.
